Before I headed to play basketball overseas in 1999, I had some college teammates and friends from outside the US playing at the same school. They were always faced with the same issue as most foreigners that come to live, work or study in the states for a temporary amount of time: Green Card & Visas. Well, it is an issue that each individual depending on their country’s relation [...]

If you are traveling overseas for the first time to play basketball it would be smart to do some luggage packing planning. Have you had the bad experience of being on a team where the team didn’t pay? Well it actually happens more than you think. I have had the displeasure of being on two teams that paid extremely late and to me it felt the same. But not being paid at all for your hard work is should not be tolerated. I have been meaning to write about this topic during the last year but not sure how to approach [...]

They had an offer for 10 free cards but [...]

I continue to see and hear both high school basketball players and their parents have a “I’ve got to play (NCAA) division 1 basketball” mentality. At the same time I see these players end up extremely unhappy because Division 1, wasn’t right for them.
When Junior College might be the better choice:
1. You are not a great student in high school. Many 2.5-3.0 GPA high school students [...]

Many strive to be a team player in the work place, but it takes more than just having a desire, it takes hard work. One piece of advice from a father figure of mine that embodies the concept of team work that he used to say to me was, “Usually [...]
