I want to play professional basketbal but I do not know how to get started. I do not have any video or stats but I did play basketball up until high school senior year. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I have wasting too much time not chasing this dream.

How do you find out about exposure camps? I’ve played one year of college basketball, but with my mother being sick I’ve had to step out. any kind of information on how to get started would be great! Also is 20 too young of an age?

My name is Marquis Lee, I’m 22years of age currently enjoying my second of two years at St. Clair County Community College (SC4) in Port Huron, MI. I’m a combo 1-2 gaurd about 6’3” 185Ibs very athletic with great decision making skills. After this up coming basketball year I would have two more years to play basketball at any university level. But knowing where my talent is at this point, I feel that playing overseas would be a great fit for me. My question is that I don’t know what to expect in this situation overseas. how do I get started?, and who do I send game tapes to for prof of my basketball level?.

I want to say thank you – I have a daughter that has been contacted by many agents overseas – this week she will be deciding which agent or agency to go with. Your site was the best site that I have visited so far so I can help her understand the landscape in Europe. 30 years ago, her father played overseas – it is completely different now. am 6`4 and a half, i play the 2guard, i somtimes post up my oponents depending on their size. am looking to play ball overseas at a college.
to all you guys reading this page, and to those already posted their comments, dont give up your dreams basketball will take you places. always play with your heart, people with the biggest heart have a better chance of making it than those who are simply talented with no heart, always do your best when on the court, doesnt matter who your opponent is. if your opponents are below your level, work on your weakness e.g if your left hand is the weak one, atack with your left and do your best to execute, dont make it look like your under estimating them though. if you got a poor jump short, work on it, and if you never dunked on someone….wel this is your chance . remember, whatever you do, do it to the fullest!
ooh, one more thing, a good player is one that always help his team mate get better. good players make it happen, great players make it happen with the team.
guyz you got to work extra hard to make it, like jordan said, when he gets tired he had to push himself coz he knows his opponent is just as tired or even more tired, `its a matter of who give in first`, you or your opponent?

wuz up i am also 6’3 slinder athletic player that has played the 5 spot in high school my last 2 years till i went to college to play at a smaller position. i just turned 25 years of age and still have all 4 years of eligibility left due to and ankle inj when i was at potomac st college. sence then i just been home workin and playin in pick up games i talked to my girlfriend about tryin out for teams and playin in leauges and i knw that i can make it to the next level even if its not the nba i would love to play overseas or semi pro ball

and i played high school ball all up to my 11th grade year i couldnt play my 12th grade year cuz i hurt my ankle so after my 12 grade all i was doing was works outs playin in summer leagues all around new jersey philly i play in a league now in south jersey the town is called mout holly its a outside league its 18- over im 21yrs old opeing game the friday that just passed i scored 35 pionts 4 rebounds 6 assists

im a 6’3 slender and athletic combo guard…. im 24yrs of age….. i started 2 play college ball at Wiley College but had a daughter at the same time so i had to get a job….. so i missed out on my chance to play ball, because i had to pay child support….. basketball was my life till i got 2 college….. but i still think i have a good shot at tryna fulfill my dream….. by playin overseas, nbdl, pro-am and wat ever other options i can choose from….. i have no game film nor do i have the stats….. but if i get a chance to prove myself i think i’ll do jus fine….. i have a decent handle, can hit the jumper from 15-20 feet consistantly, team player, see the floor well and im a pretty good defender….. i also have 3 yrs of eligibility left but im a junior n college….. i was wondering if i had atleast one year of good stats or even a half way decent season would it b much easier to find a agent

@ James, I guess it would depend on your plan and your own needs. If you have stats from a university and video it would prove you’ve played.
