One thing that I have not mentioned about traveling overseas is getting your passport early enough. I luckily had a passport much earlier than I even anticipated that I would be playing basketball overseas professionally.

Some passport tips:
1. If this is your senior year and you don’t have a passport get it NOW.
Don’t wait until the last minute because you NEVER know when you will be called for your first opportunity to play overseas.
2. Get the right photo size picture taken. I have seen many times that people get the wrong size photos. Go to a place like, Ritz Camera, Ofoto or even CVS. But always ask for your countries appropriate passport size picture. (Remember to smile :-D)
3. Fill out the papers the correct way. This page will show you how to get it done: http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html
(at least for american citizens)
If you were like me and have been issued a passport that is still valid just make sure you keep up with the expiring date. I was in Finland my second year during December and I had to do a renewal in Finland. It was fine because all I had to do was send my current passport (i was nervous) to the embassy and in 2 weeks I was ready to come home for Christmas
So the most important thing is get your passport application started today, not tomorrow. Be prepared for everything!
Good luck

Central Iowa high school with an approximate enrollment of 1,200 students, has one to two families in that would like to host an international athlete for next school year (2005-06). They would like to give a female student-athlete the opportunity to play basketball in the Midwest for a year or 2.
As a player you will be provided with:
- Host families (who will provide room, meals, and transportation)
- Quality HS education at an outstanding Iowa high school
- Head coach who has coached at both the college and high school levels
- Potential to play on a superb high school team (1st place finish in a very tough metro league in 2004-05)
- Opportunity to gain college exposure in the midwest, potential college scholarships
- Opportunity to play in a very supportive, pro-female environment (in Iowa, girls’ basketball is THE sport, so our fan base is usually very good)
Most importantly, they want to offer the opportunity for female student-athletes to gain academically and athletically, and develop their potential for a future college scholarship.

Another Easter is here and I want to wish everyone a very HAPPY EASTER
Well since I have been playing tennis this week my friend came across this photo of my favorite male tennis player Andre Agassi and Federer playing around at the highest tennis court in the WORLD.
This may not interest anyone else but its certainly amazing. Imagine playing basketball when you’re at the top of the world. Unbelievable

An Italian lower division team is looking for Men players for next season.
The season begins on September 2005 and ends on May 2006). Salaries from 1000 Euros to 1800 Euros per month + food + apartment + further accomodations.
Players MUST come alone (without wife and family) and MUST be serious: the team has always paid all the salaries and pretends to deal with serious players. Small city, good level, good visibility. If a player has italian passport would be better, but we can be interested in players from everywhere and in any position. If there’s no agency would be better… in any case only serious agents. ANYWAY THE TEAM WILL CHOOSE THESE PLAYERS ONLY IN SUMMER.
