You could try out however, scouts prefer to find players that have played in college. If you are great and can prove yourself you might have a chance.I would suggest looking for exposure camps.

In the NWBL each team has a $25,000.00 salary cap to spend on all players salary’s. Most players only receive housing, some meals. The WNBA players get some money - say Becky Hammon gets 5 K per month for the 3 month season, then the rest of the team gets 10K.

I was wondering what do I have to do to get overseas to play women’s basketball. I have been dreaming for an opportunity like this one and I wanted to have a chance to accomplish my goal.

    Player Resume
Ambika Smith, who is she? She is a hard working individual. She is determined and goes after what she wants. She is a go-getter. She won’t stop until she gets it. There is no line that she won’t cross. Ambika will play any position on the court. Whatever you ask she will do. She always will put forth 100% of her ability to play any position. She is a great companion or confident; someone you can lean on. Her great personality enables her to fit in with any crowd. Let’s not forget her smile that will brighten up a room. She is an encourager. She’s the shoulder you cry on when things aren’t going right in your life.
Having to write letter of reference for Ambika Smith is a great honor for me. I have watched Ambika play since she was in Middle School and she’s amazing. She has a fierce attitude toward the GAME. The coaches and her teammates admire her. She played on the high school team in eighth grade. By her ninth grade year, she was on the Junior Varsity and the Varsity Squad at Todd County Central High School. She averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals per game while in High School. She was also a member of the Lady Kats AAU team in the summer of 2000. She went on the to lead her team to a State Championship while averaging 10 points a game. While playing AAU, she managed to grab a scholarship from Crowder College in Neosho,Missouri, where she became a starter as a freshman. Averaging 12 points, 4 assist, and 5 steals per game.
In the winter of 2001, she wanted to take a new direction in her life rather than playing basketball. As the years passed, Ambika realized that she could not give up the game of basketball that easily. She wanted to make playing basketball a career.
In March of 2004, she went and tried out for the basketball team at State Fair Community College in Sedalia,Missouri; where she became the sixth man. She triumphed as a 5′5″ Shooting Guard that was averaging 10 points, 3 assist, 3 rebounds per game. Before every game, she would go around to shake her teammates hands and tell them to, “Take the game minute by minute, second by second, and half by half, let’s not rush shots and just remember to have a good time.”
Whomever shall recruit Ambika, will not regret their decision because she will do whatever it takes to get to that next level. She won’t try to impress you she will just do it. She will not try to play out of her game, but she will play hard. This is the opportunity that she has been waiting on and praying about. Make her dream come true and God Bless You!
